01 — Terms
Terms and conditions
These conditions govern the purchase and use of the WordPress plugin Ehrenplatz-Cookie.
Last updated: 1 August 2026
This is a translation, provided for convenience. The binding version is the German one at cookie.ehrenplatz.ai/agb. Where the two differ, the German text applies.
1.Provider and scope
The provider of the Ehrenplatz-Cookie plugin is Ehrenplatz, owner Daniel Leib, Kiepenkerlstraße 3a, 46499 Hamminkeln, Germany, VAT identification number DE316642054.
These conditions apply to every contract for a licence to the plugin. Conditions of the customer that differ from them do not become part of the contract unless expressly agreed in writing.
2.Formation of contract and payment
The licences shown on this site are not a binding offer but an invitation to order. By completing the order the customer makes a binding offer. The contract comes into being with our confirmation and the provision of the licence key.
Payment and invoicing are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited. Paddle acts as the seller towards the customer (merchant of record) and is the contracting party for the payment. Paddle’s own conditions apply to the payment process in addition to these.
The prices shown are net prices; the gross price given alongside includes statutory VAT. The rate that applies to the invoice is the one of the country in which the customer is resident, and it is shown during checkout.
3.What the licence covers
The customer receives a simple, non-exclusive and non-transferable right, limited to the term chosen, to install and run the plugin on the agreed number of sites.
Every tier has the same feature set. The tiers differ in nothing but the number of seats. There is no limit by visitors, page views, subpages or volume of data.
4.Seats and how they are counted
A seat is taken by every WordPress installation on which the plugin is activated. This expressly includes:
- staging, test and development environments
- installations on subdomains
- individual instances within a multisite installation
Deactivating the plugin on a site frees the seat immediately, and it becomes available for another installation.
5.Term and renewal
The choices are twelve months, twenty-four months and the lifetime licence. On the two fixed terms the licence then renews for the same period unless it is cancelled before the current period ends. Cancellation is possible informally by email.
The price on renewal is the one current at that time. For the first six months after the initial purchase the price of the first renewal is guaranteed; on the twenty-four-month term that period is twelve months.
A lifetime licence does not renew. It entitles the holder to permanent use and to updates for as long as the product is offered.
After a licence expires without renewal the plugin stays installed and working. Access to updates through the licence server ends.
6.Withdrawal and refund
Within fourteen days of purchase the full amount is refunded, without a reason having to be given. The details and the procedure are in the refund policy.
The fourteen-day refund described above is a voluntary promise by the provider. Consumers’ statutory rights of withdrawal are untouched by it and are not limited by it.
7.Updates and support
During the term the customer has access to feature and security updates through the licence server. There is no entitlement to any particular future feature.
Support is by email to cookie@ehrenplatz.ai. Enquiries are answered within 48 hours. That period refers to the reply, not necessarily to the final resolution.
8.Obligations of the customer
The licence key is to be kept confidential and must not be passed on to third parties. The customer remains responsible for running their own sites in line with data protection law. The plugin is a tool; it replaces neither a legal review nor the judgement of which services may be used on a site.
9.Liability
The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For ordinary negligence the provider is liable only where a material contractual obligation is breached, and then limited to the damage typical of this kind of contract and foreseeable at the time it was made.
Liability for legal assessments the customer makes on the basis of the plugin’s output is excluded. The assignment of services to categories is a proposal and is to be checked by the customer.
10.Data protection
How this site handles data is set out in the privacy policy.
11.Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Towards consumers this choice of law applies only in so far as it does not deprive them of the mandatory protection of the law of their country of residence.
Should any provision be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
