Privacy policy

This site gets by on very little data. What does happen is set out here in full.

Last updated: 1 August 2026

This is a translation. The binding version of this policy is the German one at cookie.ehrenplatz.ai/datenschutz.

1.Controller

Ehrenplatz, owner Daniel Leib, Kiepenkerlstraße 3a, 46499 Hamminkeln, Germany. Email: cookie@ehrenplatz.ai

2.What this site does not do

It would be hard to explain why a sales site for a consent plugin would itself load services that need consent. It does not:

  • No analytics or tracking services, no audience measurement
  • No external fonts — the typeface used, Zain, is served from our own server
  • No embedded third-party services such as YouTube, Vimeo, maps or social networks — the video in the header is our own material and sets no cookies
  • No advertising or recognition cookies

That is why no consent banner appears on this site. There would be nothing to consent to.

3.Server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Technically necessary log data arises when a page is requested: the address called up, the time, the volume of data transferred, the browser type and the IP address. This data is needed to deliver the site and to fend off attacks.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in secure operation. Standard contractual clauses are in place with the provider for the transfer to the USA.

The video and the still image in the header of the home page are held by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, and delivered by its R2 storage service; the storage location is Western Europe. When they are requested, your browser transfers the same technically necessary data there as to the server above — your IP address in particular. No cookies are set in the process. The legal basis is likewise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, and standard contractual clauses are in place with this provider as well.

4.Your choice of appearance

If you switch between the light and dark appearance, that choice is stored under the key „epc-thema“ in your browser’s local storage. It is not a cookie: the value is never transferred to a server and holds nothing but „light“ or „dark“.

You can delete it at any time through your browser settings. The site then appears again in the dark default.

5.When you buy

Only when you begin a purchase is the checkout of Paddle.com Market Limited, Judd House, 18–29 Mora Street, London EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom loaded. Before that, nothing is loaded from there and nothing is transferred.

Paddle acts as the seller and processes the data needed for payment, invoicing and remitting tax under its own responsibility: name, email address, billing address, country and payment details. We ourselves never see complete payment details. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of the contract. Paddle’s own privacy policy applies in addition.

Along with the checkout, Paddle also loads a script of its own service ProfitWell from the address public.profitwell.com. ProfitWell belongs to Paddle. No cookies are set on this site in the process; the connection itself transfers your IP address to Paddle. This too happens only once you begin a purchase.

6.Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your address and the content of your message in order to answer it. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. We keep enquiries for as long as follow-up questions are to be expected and delete them afterwards — unless retention periods under commercial or tax law stand in the way.

7.The plugin on your own sites

This policy covers cookie.ehrenplatz.ai and nothing else. If you use the plugin on your own sites, you are the controller there. The plugin stores consents with a shortened, hashed IP value in your own database; that data does not leave your server and is not visible to us.

The licence server at lizenz.ehrenplatz.ai receives the domain of the installation and the licence key in order to check the licence. Visitors to your sites are not recorded in the process.

8.Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest. Write to cookie@ehrenplatz.ai to exercise them.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.

See for yourself what your site loads.

Install it, let it scan, set up the banner — the first run takes minutes. After that the plugin only speaks up when a new service turns up.
